The year it was -2011 -ಸಿಂಹಾವಲೋಕನ

" चलना  ही  ज़िन्दगी  हे   चलती ही जा रही हे   "....
                                         An year of mixed bag  ,it had every thing ,from Cricket World Cup success , 2G scams to land scams ,Anna Hazare  Movement and finally an year end hit Kolaveri and a Don 2 which  was a real  Kolaveri : (.Waiting for the boxing day bash now .
                       This was a year where nature showed its anger in Japan with a Tsunami.But Japan was up and running before we even blinked our eyes.Kudos to them and their conviction.
               What exactly is the significance of the new year whic is coming in a weeks time ?When i ask this question to myself i believe "There is only one time when it is essential to awaken. That time is now",so it doesnt really need a new year to have resolutions .But why a look back at the year gone by ?

Answer for that would be -as  lines of a Great Roman Orator goes  :

"Not to know what has been transacted in former times is to be always a child. If no use is made of the labors of past ages, the world must remain always in the infancy of knowledge"

Finally thanking an year where i made great friends,some good happened on career front and an year where i still remain a mystry for myself !

ಶಂಕರನ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ,Destiny and Choices

The last line of the poem “Invictus” (the Latin word meaning victorious) by English poet William Ernest Henley reads “I am the master of my fate.” Henley was a man who greatly believed that no matter what life threw at him, he was going to make a choice steer his destiny in the direction he wanted

Shankar Nag made his choices but ultimate truth is -destiny is the master and we cannot override the fate.
Even the destiny's child couldn't.


As i have said in my previous blogs .we can only choose the path not control it.Right or wrong is dependent on the value system inculcated in the individual and there can be no two  perspectives for this.It is either right or wrong .


First thing i notice every time i go to Ranga Shankara is these lines on the Board displayed  in the Place written by one of the theatre enthusiast.
                  "ನೀ ಕಂಡ ಕನಸುಗಳು ಅಪಾರ
                   ಅವೆಲ್ಲ ಆಗಿದೆ ಇಂದು ಸಾಕಾರ
                   ನೀ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಎದ್ದು ನೋಡು ಬಾರಾ
                   ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಶಂಕರ "

As i have elaborated in my previous blogs on path and choices ,this was one God's choice hope i could have changed.Remember choice is an reflection of the path chosen and path is based on the ingredients that the individual possess and this determines the path being right or wrong .In short We have no choices !.We create our path not the choices.This might look confusing but is the ultimate truth .

   Anyways What a Shankar Nag could have done in this age of mobile and computers is anybodies guess and i will leave it at there.
                        Ranga Shankara is a fitting tribute to the legend and more importantly the human being Shankar Nag was.I think it will take a separate blog for those stories though.

  Shankar Nag  took his own decisions .The most successful people I know don’t get all emotional about difficult choices in life – they just make a decision and move on

" ಇರುವುದು ಒಂದೇ ಜೀವನ ,ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಇದರಲ್ಲೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಅತೀವ ಆಸೆ " this defines Shankar Nag  for me

Move on in life means not to forget people here.Most people get the meaning of this statement wrong .This simply means the decisions should be not taken with a emotional mind set but with clarity of thought and move on suggests look into the future i.e with an insight into the future.

Life as it is continues .Lets not hurt anyone and spread love .One choice which does not require any decision to make and will always be right .That's were people remember us.

Reminds me of this age old statement 

"The only time, how much a person is loved is got to know when the person dies "

The play goes on and the wait continues . . .

Out at 94 :( must have broken billion hearts and made News Channels to do a postmortem of the innings on what exactly went wrong and give 1000 conclusions and predictions on the future and most importantly the 100th ton ! That's how it is and it would be .But the man who has carried a nations hope for the past 20 years would simply go and play  the next game with the same passion and spirit he has done for over 20 years and try to win the game for India.Kudos to the person on handling such pressure.

        Lets not wait for the 100th hundred  .There is a poetry in his stroke play .The  classical cover drives and the straight drives from the master.Experts would say its dangerous to drive on the up.But not for the Master.He does it with ease and grace..It is for the destiny to decide when and  where the destiny's child should get the 100th hundred .Let us  enjoy his stroke play  till then.

                  As the Bombay poet C. P. Surendran wrote: "Batsmen walk out into the middle alone. Not Tendulkar. Every time Tendulkar walks to the crease, a whole nation, tatters and all, marches with him to the battle arena. A pauper people pleading for relief, remission from the lifelong anxiety of being Indian, by joining in spirit their visored saviour."

Lets wait till the moment happens and enjoy and be privileged to watch the legend give joy to his billions of followers.                    

Change -An insight

I was asked  to write this blog ,since a friend of mine in office wanted me to give my perspective on Change based on  my readings and my thoughts .

One topic where i need to get my well read stuffs from  Manu smiritis ,the philosophy of shankaracharya ,the Geeta and the Bible into action .

" Change is as simple as Complex is ".As someone said Change is so pervasive in our lives that it almost defeats description and analysis.

People change,life changes,but most important thing according to me is not to go behind change but to blend with change,a fact probably well said by Lord Shri Krishna in the Geeta .

Change can be difficult sometimes as goes the line  -It is harder to fight pleasure than to fight emotion.

You lead your life thinking and going for something and life has something else bestowed for you.That's how complex life is and Time can be a game changer.The topic of  "Time" needs a
scientific perspective though ...

Irrespective of change one thing that change cannot impact and it has been proven over centuries is the Value chain and the Principles you have and the Frankness and Truthfulness.Very simple words,needs to be followed to endure the impact of change in one life.

Being adamant,not flexible and having double standards will definitely impact the way "Change" can impact.

Denying Change:

I love this extract from "Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy" :

 Whatever one speaks about or thinks about must in some sense exist; if it did not exist then it is nothing, so one would be speaking or thinking about nothing, which would be empty. From this thesis, it is deduced that the existing thing cannot have come into existence, because to say that it could would be to speak of a time when it did not exist.By similar reasoning, existing things are eternal because they cannot go out of existence. So its difficult to Deny Change

Life through Bosch Day -To My Friends through Expressions !

This is to my friends through some famous lines  in the films .Don't know how bad this idea is  ! A try nevertheless.

Been quite a while since i blogged due to Bosch Day preparations .Made good friends and came to know better about friends whom i already knew  in the process.What better way than a blog to express the same without unravelling somethings which ought to remain untold and finally needs to fade away in time.

" THAT DAY MAY NEVER COME " and "They can't handle the truth " .I dont need the Pity here ...  :P

Remember this famous line modified  "We live in a cynical world ,and we work in a business of tough competitors .I love u all ... U guys complete me ".

Some people get angry,some get irritated,some uncomfortable all because they fail to understand ,yes a natural phenomenon,but still remain friends.Probably "THERE WASN'T ENOUGH TIME " to understand ...

I made friends who "DON'T TAKE SIDES" they just remain friends .And "I am going to make them an offer ,they cant refuse" and remain Friends forever .

"Don't ever let somebody tell you ,You can't do something for them " just do it.I think this applies else where too.Let me not get philosophical here.

and Finally before i run out of ideas ending with

Love and Impressions -Jobs Way of Life -Being Human

Talking about Steve Jobs is incomplete without tellling about some incidents that personally impressed me.

A hair stye change ,An accident on friday and a blog on saturday .Its been a mixed week with some mixed responses too.One thing has not changed though "Being Who I Am." .Love what ever you do whether it gives success or failure is immeterial .A path  that Jobs has showed us.
